A Horny Question

Some of my students asked me a question that "Why do most of the herbivores have hoofs and horns ?" Initially I kept wondering about what could be the most possible explanation to such a query.Suddenly it struck to me and I said - Herbivores usually graze undecidedly and might come across thorny plants, the hoofs protects them from the thorns fallen below and the horns acts as a protective gear in order to keep them away from the branches of thorny plants.

They felt relaxed and convinced by the explanation I gave them.I too felt glad that I successfully escaped the baffling scenario.
